On Public Record, Manning and Suzuki: Speaking
Science to Power
On May 12th, 2010, the 2nd Science Policy Symposium was held
in Gatineau, Quebec. To open the conference, award-winning scientist
and broadcaster, Dr. David Suzuki, and former Reform Party Leader,
Preston Manning, discussed the importance of science to Canada
and the world in the 21st century.

On Podium – Opening
Keynote by Stephen Lewis
On May 13th, 2010, the UN Secretary-General's former special
envoy for HIV/AIDS in Africa, Stephen Lewis, delivered the
keynote address at the 2010 Science Policy Symposium, in Gatineau,
Quebec. The title of Lewis's address was "Reflections
on Science, Sustainable Development and Social Justice".
